Bill Leake, President
Bill Leake, Group VP of Global Marketing at Rimini Street, Inc., NS Founder and Chairman of Apogee Results, draws on a deep expertise in both business and marketing to help increase revenues for a wide range of clients. He has been involved in driving provable revenues through Internet marketing techniques since the early 1990s when, as part of the management team at Power Computing, he built the first company to sell $1 million of product over the Internet.
As founder of Apogee Results, he guided the company from inception to its current position as Austin’s only nationally branded and recognized search engine marketing company, one of the 20 largest independents in North America and one of the fastest growing companies on the Inc. 500 / 5000 list.
In addition to his marketing leadership, Bill wrote the best-selling Wiley book “Complete B2B Online Marketing” and is a sought after speaker in the online marketing sector, having been featured at ad:tech, Search Engine Strategies (SES), MarketingProfs, Search Marketing Expo (SMX), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), South by Southwest Interactive (SXSWi), and others.
Before founding Apogee, Bill was President of Journyx, one of the earliest SaaS (software as a service) companies, which grew to become one of the 500 largest software companies in N. America. Prior to Journyx, he held leadership and executive positions at several public and private venture-capital backed firms, including Dell, where he worked in the Office of the Chairman on several key strategic initiatives. Before Dell, Bill worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company.
Bill received an MBA with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and his B.A. from Yale University.

Jennifer Gooding is Principal of PRIME|PR. With over a dozen years in public relations and business development, she has achieved tens of millions of ROI for nonprofits and companies ranging in size from startups to those on the Fortune 100 list, obtaining full-page profile pieces and other extensive media coverage in sought-after media outlets across the world. In addition to speaking both locally and nationally on marketing, she also serves on the board of directors of TexChange, Austin’s premier technology executive networking group, as well as several nonprofits. Austin Under 40 Finalist for one of the most influential public relations professionals in Austin.
Justin Newlin, Co-Chair
Justin Newlin is a high energy business development and marketing professional with a diverse global background in tech, entertainment, academia and sales. This results in a deep understanding in leadership, team building, brand building, guerrilla marketing, social media & digital media marketing that has lead to proven successes in highly competitive marketplaces.
With over 20 years of marketing and agency experience, Kami Haynes has worked with large and small technology companies across the globe. In her current role as Director of Marketing at Tango Health, she is responsible for corporate branding, messaging and positioning, outbound marketing communications, public relations and sales campaigns. Previous client-side roles include Dell Computer, Sun Microsystems, 3M, and Tokyo Electron. Ms. Haynes has also held roles at SicolaMartin (Y&R), Tocquigny Advertising+Design, and Leo Burnett advertising agencies, developing corporate and product messaging to appeal to diverse audiences for Citrix, Seagate Technologies, and Pervasive Software, respectively. Ms. Haynes is a graduate of the University of Texas.
Paul O’Brien, Co-Chair
At the behest of Silicon Valley’s venture community, Paul O’Brien relocated from California to Austin in 2000. There, recognized as one of 25 leading online marketers in the book Online Marketing Heroes, O’Brien launched a series of startups in local search, crowdsourcing, web-based accounting, payments, and social intelligence as well as running online marketing for HP’s eCommerce business and engaging early in his career as a marketing engineer at Yahoo!
His work today continues as a growth hacker, startup advisor, and fractional CMO, consulting with ventures of all sizes through growth and pivots, and he serves as an advisor to organizations such as ATI, Fovnders, and Austin’s International Accelerator.
